Experience

  • Since January 2021: Postdoctoral researcher in bioinformatics and machine learning applied to muti-omics data

I joined the COMPO team (COMPutational pharmacology and clinical Oncology) at the CRCM (Center of Research in Cancerology of Marseille) as postdoctoral researcher to develop methods and strategies for modeling and integrating multi-omics datasets applied to explore oncogenic molecular features and markers associated to chemoresistance contributing to improving therapeutic strategies towards more personalized medicine.

  • 2019-2020 : Postdoctoral researcher in bioinformatics applied to pancreatic cancer

I joined the "Pancreatic Cancer" group at the Center of Research in Cancerology of Marseille (France). The focus of my research is to develop and apply computational biology models to characterize and highlight the heterogeneity and the underlying devlopement and progression of pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Many research articles were published during this project bringing new insights into the field.

  • 2017-2018 : Research Ingineer in bioinformatics

I joined the team of "Molecular Hematopoiesis" at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of Montpellier (IGMM) as a Research Engineer to work on the team’s projects whose mainly focus on chromatin regulation and interaction with different transcription factors during hematopoiesis. I was responsible of the managment of different analytic pipelines of NGS data including ChIP-seq, RNA-Seq, 4C-Seq, Hi-C-seq etc. I was also involved in the administration of informatics infrastructure and management of data and software on server. In addition, I supervised the Master students for the internship in bioinformatics.

  • 2014-2016: Research Ingineer in bioinformatics

I integrated the CRCM’s Integrative Bioinformatics platform at the Cancer Research Center of Marseille (CRCM UMR1068) as a Research Engineer in Bioinformatics. I was involved in different projects that needed bioinformatics and biostatistics support in collaboration with different teams of the lab as well as external collaborators. I was responsible of all analysis steps of different NGS data including ChIP-Seq, RNA-Seq, DNA Methylome etc. My work on these projects allowed to file a patent and many articles for which I am co-inventor and co-author.

  • 2010-2013: PhD project

I performed my PhD in the field of Genomics and Bioinformatics in the Laboratories Architecture and Functions of Biological Macromolecules (AFMB UMR7257) and URMITE (UMR198) at Aix-Marseille University, I worked on the exploration and analysis of the genomes of the human microbiota and its role in metabolism. Throughout different projects during my PhD, published work was focused on the implementation of a human microbiome model composed of a representative of reference genomes as well as the development of a functional Microarray for the exploration of thousands of bacterial genes involved in the degradation of polysaccharides. My principal work of the PhD is now one of the most referenced study worldwide in the field.

  • 2009-2010: Master project

Meta-analysis of microarray data and detection of differentially expressed genes in response to viral infections in humans, the Biometry and Evolutionary Biology Laboratory, Lyon, France.
